Doyle Hose Company #2

Doyle Hose Company #2 was incorporated in 1924. We are located in the Southwest corner of the Town of Cheektowaga. We serve approximately 14, 000 residents with a protection area of 3 square miles.

Our district consists of 2 hotels (The Comfort Inn & Holiday Express), 2 Cheektowaga/Sloan District Schools (Theodore Roosevelt Elementary & John F. Kennedy Middle/Senior High School), the Williamstown Apartments, Manko Lane Apartments, The Pergrins Landings Senior Living Center, & the Value Home Center which serves as the area warehouse.

Other areas in the district includes NYS Thruway (I-90). Westbound we cover from William St to the Route 400 & Eastbound we cover from the I-190 interchange to Walden Ave.

Doyle 2 responds to approximately 750 calls per year, mostly Emergency Medical Calls. Doyle 2 responds to Emergency Medical calls, Emergency Medical Assist, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Carbon Monoxide Alarms, Vehicle Fires, Structure Fires & other types of Fires, HAZMAT calls, Wires Down, and the occasional Search & Rescue calls.

Doyle 2 provides Mutual Aid to surrounding communities as well. Rescue 7 will respond to Sloan for any structure fire & with Bellvue for fire alarms at Garden Gate Nursing Home or the Apple Blossom Garden Apartments. Doyle 2 will send a full assignment to Winchester in West Seneca for any fires on their "island" off Clinton St while Engine 3 will provide coverage at the Winchester Fire Hall when they are at prolonged alarms or fires in their district.
